Sustainable woodland wedding with a luxury vintage twist

If you go down to the woods today…

We arrived at Sherwood Glade, in Nottinghamshire, on a bright sunny morning, where we found a stunningly beautiful natural place, ideal for a vintage-themed wedding.

THE DESIGN BRIEF: Luxury vintage wedding

Inspiration from the surrounding woodland and nature within Sherwood Glade.

Re-using and reclaiming props and decor, using natural fabrics and locally sourced materials where possible.

THE FLORAL ELEMENTS:

The bridal bouquet and groom’s buttonhole were tied designs, using mainly locally grown flowers and foliage.

The ceremony floral decorations were arranged into glass vessels holding water, and the flowers and foliage were held and supported by twigs and chicken wire.

A floral arrangement made through twigs and chicken wire into vases holding water - no foam used.

THE CEREMONY - Archway florals, arranged to look as though they were naturally growing, amongst the ferns and ivy-covered woodland floor.

BRIDAL FLOWERS - Rosa ‘White o’hare” Rosa. Amaranthus cruets, Achillea filipendulina, Serruria florida, Hederá helix, Eucalyptus cinerea Fatsia japonica,
